Service
Bedfordshire Youth Offending Service (BYOS) will establish a Prevention Panel to identify those who are otherwise ‘unseen’ and meet the needs of those who are visible but not adequately supported, or who have been identified but lack access to appropriate services. The panel will identify and support young people residing in both Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
The Panel will consist of a variety of statutory and non-statutory partners and meet regularly (potentially fortnightly) to consider each referred child or young person and determine what support is required and who should provide it. The model is consent based - Police, Children’s Services, Health, and Youth Justice teams.
