Ignite Futures is a targeted youth intervention programme designed to support children and young adults who are struggling to engage in mainstream education, helping develop life skills, confidence and positive behaviour. This two-day immersive experience offers participants a unique opportunity to step into the world of the Fire and Rescue Service, providing a structured, practical alternative to traditional learning environments.

Through hands-on activities, teamwork, and mentorship from trained fire service professionals, Ignite Futures aims to:

• Reignite self-esteem, focus and aspiration in young people who may feel disconnected from their current path.
• Build resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging through positive role modelling and real-world challenges.
• Introduce practical skills and discipline in a safe, supportive setting.
• Create pathways to future opportunities, including vocational training and community engagement.
• Referrals – Directly from school navigator programme.
