The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner hosted an online event for their commissioned partners this week.
The purpose of the event was to give partners a chance to hear updates from each other and to connect over work they may wish to do together. These partners already deliver a raft of services for the people of Bedfordshire from victim services and early intervention to offender management.
The Chief Executive, Clare Kelly also announced the date of the end of year partner event, where the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner will ask colleagues to come together that are both commissioned and not commissioned by them, who deliver services in Bedfordshire, to share their plans for the year ahead. This will be December 1st and partners will be able to register for the event via our website here.
Commissioning Lead Antonina Belcheva also shared upcoming funding opportunities that the OPCC are aware of across different sectors, so that partners can decide if they wish to bid for funds.
Commenting on the event Clare Kelly said “Partners were able to understand more about each other and what services each partner provides for the community. It was also very humbling to see the commitment in the sharing of services that our partners are doing in order to support as many people as possible. As well as this, we, The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner are keeping to our mission of being as transparent as possible, and offering a space for our partners to also share with each other, which has proved invaluable”.
