Summary:
‘Signpost’ is the victim care service provision that helps victims of crime to link into the most appropriate care packages to enable full support to be provided to victims at what can be incredibly traumatic times in people’s lives.
In line with feedback from local people, victims of crime and those who support them, the Commissioner was aware of the confusion that exists within existing and established Housing Association also called ‘Signpost’ located in Bedfordshire therefore to eliminate the confusion, as of the 13th December 2021, Signpost will be known as ‘Bedfordshire Victim Care Service’ (BVCS).
Alongside the renaming of our victim care service, the OPCC is currently identifying more suitable premises for BVCS to enable a more integrated approach to service delivery with partners. It is expected that this team will relocate in the early part of the new financial year.
