FREE community event for those who live in the Manshead area!

There will be a number of free activities including a bouncy castle and free face painting and free refreshments!

The Safer Streets Project is run jointly by the OPCC, Central Bedfordshire Council and Bedfordshire Police and aims to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the Manshead area of Dunstable town.

The Manshead area of Dunstable has been awarded £432,000 from the Home Office to help reduce crime and make the neighbourhood safer.

Safer Street Project will tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the area by:

• Improving street lighting
• Increasing CCTV
• Establishing a street watch in the community

Bedfordshire Police strives to protect the people within its community and is supporting schemes such as the Community Street Watch to provide a visible presence in the areas of concern and deter anti-social behaviour an build a community that looks out for each other.

Location: St Augustine’s Academy in Manshead

This event will be an opportunity for local residents to meet the Safer Streets team, Community Policing Teams, Local Partner Agencies, local Charities/Organisations and local clubs.
